How to Book
If your door has come off one or both tracks, the fastest way to get a truck out is through our booking page at /.
Off-track symptom questions
Tell us whether the door moves at all, whether it's stuck halfway, and whether you hear a cable slapping the inside of the panel - that tells us what's riding in the truck before we show up.
Covered towns list
We cover Grapevine and the towns around it: Trophy Club, Westlake, Keller, Double Oak, Roanoke, Highland Village, Bartonville, Lantana, Copper Canyon, and the rest of this corner of North Texas, out to Saginaw and University Park on the far edge. If you're outside Grapevine proper, we'll route you to the page for your own town so the details match your street, not someone else's.
Rollers chew track fast
For an off-track door specifically, don't wait a day or two to book - every time someone tries the opener against a door that's off its rail, the rollers chew the track channel wider, and what would've been a track straighten turns into a track replacement.

The Symptom
A door off track usually shows itself one of two ways. Either the door is crooked in the opening - one side higher than the other, a visible gap at a corner - or it's stuck dead, refusing to move up or down because a roller has popped clear of the channel and is wedged against the bracket. Sometimes you'll hear it before you see it: a bang or a grinding scrape as the door travels, followed by the opener straining and reversing itself. On double doors especially, an off-track panel often means a bent track more than a broken part - the rail has been bowed out of alignment and the rollers can't stay seated in it. If the door came off track while it was moving, stop. Don't run the opener again to 'see if it clears itself.' A door hanging on one track and a frayed cable is under real spring tension, and it can drop.
Doing It Yourself
There's a narrow case where this is a DIY job: the door is fully down, nothing is under load, and one roller has simply slipped out of the track at the bottom without bending anything.
Hand-walk roller back
In that case you can sometimes walk the roller back into the channel by hand with the door at rest. Past that, we'd rather you didn't. Realigning a bent track means loosening the brackets that hold it to the framing, and those brackets are also what keeps the door from racking sideways if you get the angle wrong.
Unsafe off-track DIY
We don't recommend tackling it with the door halfway up, with the opener still connected, or with a spring that looks stretched or uneven side to side - that's a torsion spring doing something it shouldn't, and that's not a track problem anymore. If you're not sure which situation you're in, that uncertainty is itself the answer: call it in rather than guess.
Why This Fails Locally
Grapevine's housing stock mostly went up between 1959 and 2014, with the bulk of it dating to the 1980s and 90s and a median build year around 1999. That generation of garage doors and track hardware has now put in two to four decades of cycles, and the galvanized track brackets from that era were fastened with lighter screws than what gets used today - they work loose a little at a time, especially on doors that get opened and closed several times a day. Add the climate: this area sits in a moderate-heat band, and track steel expands and contracts across the summer-to-winter swing enough to shift a marginal bracket from 'fine' to 'bent' without anyone touching it. On a newer door with fresh hardware, a stiff gust or a kid's bike clipping the bottom panel is an inconvenience. On a track bracket that's been flexing quietly since the Clinton administration, it's the thing that finally lets go.
